MATERIALS AND TOOLS
YARN: Mohair and lurex mix ~100g/3.5oz per 300-320m/328-350yds.
NEEDLES: (circulars on 60-80cm/24-32” cable for the body and on 40cm/16” for neckband; you can use magic loop method or dpns for the sleeves):
● Main: 4mm/ US 6 (or size needed to get gauge)
● Hem: 3mm/ US 2.5
GAUGE (PER 1010CM/44” AFTER WET-BLOCKING)
● Lace print: 22 stitches by 20 rows
10 adult sizes:1 (2, 3, 4 / 5, 6, 7 / 8, 9, 10) for bust circumference ~75-175cm/29.5-69” for an average height ~166-170cm/5.45-5.6ft. Choose the desired size according to comfort bust circumference + ~4-10% of positive ease.
TECHNIQUES
● Italian cast on (= long-tail tubular cast on)
● Transition from 11 rib to 22 rib
● 22 ribbing
● Reading charted instructions (optional)
● Kitchener stitch
● Hollow rib (in the round)
● Decreases: knit 2/3 together (k2/3tog), slip-slip-(slip)knit (ssk/sssk), purl 2 together (p2tog) & slip-slip-purl (ssp), cdd (central double decrease) , CDD-p (central double decrease purlside)
● Increases: Knit front&back (KFB)
● Lifted increases:
Right lifted increase (RLI):
Left lifted increase (LLI):
● Bind off in 11 rib using tapestry needle
